Not really. I think schools are great places to show your talents. Though some might think that in a school setting there are this kind of set up where the teacher are only the one who are feeding the information to the students. But that is not the case nowadays. Your kids could also join extra curricular clubs where they can explore their talents. Anyway, have a great day to all.

What exactly are extra curricular clubs? They are OUTSIDE the regular school routine... so you are saying the kids can explore their talents outside, not within the regular school program.

Extra curricular activities are good avenues to new learnings. Children or students shouldn't confine themselves in the four corners of their classrooms. There are still a lot of things to learn outside. The realities of life can only be learned if we expose them to real life situations. That is why as parents, we need to let them join activities or organizations outside of their school premises. Let them learn, let them grow.

Students learn a lot from school, not only in academics but also their potentials are reinforced and developed in school. So I don't think schools kill creativity. Teachers are responsible enough in providing adequate education among students. At the same time they also hone and facilitate them to participate well with the different school activities. In this way, they become more creative and smarter in their own way. So don't think schools kill creativity.

Elemntary and secondary schools kill creativity but university encourages it. I'll never forget my first week of univeristy where every single professor said to forget everything learned about the topic at hand in high school. It made me realize that the stress of getting good marks in high school was really just to get ove the lip into the bowl of post secondary education. Looking back on it, I was really creating reports and writing tests to satisfy the systems view of the world rather than my own. Once I got into university then I really started to become myself through the creativity allowed.
