Thank author of this post/commentA Student's View - "Living in residence is one of the most rewarding experiences. While people attend university to increase their knowledge and further their studies, perhaps the best education you can receive is gained from living amongst various personalities and cultures. Chase Court has been my home for the past three years. This year I chose to give something back to the residence and become a Resident Assitant in order to help new residents feel as welcome as I was. Over the years "Chase" has become a part of me. Chase's brick walls have witnessed my tears, but more often my smiles as I wander through the most exciting journey of my life. Inside the most unique building on campus are the warmest, friendliest people you will ever meet. Even though the building is large you never have to worry about being lost in Chase since there will always be a smiling face ready to show you the way." - Jillian Pothier, 3rd year Psychology (Yarmouth Co., NS)

I have to say that on campus residency is great most especially to those who lives in a distant place. Not just because of the convenience that you acquire by choosing to live in campus but also you can manage to focus in your studies since you are far away from outside influences that can consume much of your time. But well, I must say that it all depends on the students still.

There are really some students who would prefer staying in the school dormitory. I think it is more advantageous because they can study well and focus on their schoolwork well. In addition to that, they are also closer to the library where they can obtain references easily. They can also be an independent person unlike when they stay home and depend everything to their parents. Thanks for sharing the video.

My sister has always been on campus residency back in her high school years. I have to admit that it was really a good idea and it really helped her a lot in her studies especially she was able to have focus in everything that she do. But I also notice that it is also important that the parents were still able to support and guide their sons and daughters even if they stay at the school.

I agree to you guys it is really true that residence life inside the campus is an ideal way to finish studies. It is safe and you are rest assured that you will attain the better education. But we have to take into consideration that parents must also look upon their children in school though they are staying inside the campus. Another thing is that you don't need to get worried with your children because since their custody is in the University you can assure that they are away from any bad influence outside the campus.

On-campus residency is convenient only until you settle and get your roots in your new academic community. After that, I found it better to live off campus. This was for a couple of reasons; one, the on-campus housing at my university was mainly for first year students and second, there were less rules off campus then on campus.
