| Deveber Institute: Post Secondary Education and Parenting The deVeber Institute's nationwide study of resources available to pregnant and parenting students on university campuses in Canada. Most women feel that if they become pregnant while attending a post-secondary school, they cannot both complete their education and proceed with the pregnancy. One way to analyze this option is to discover what kind of resources are available to this specific group of students. When pregnant and parenting students cannot find campus resources the message is clear: your time here is over. The deVeber Institute of Bioethics and Social Research compiled a survey that consisted of six categories: education, housing, child care, health care, child-friendly campus and financial aid. This survey was completed for each of the 86 registered Canadian universities and each university was asked the same questions. | Love it! I am three months on my family way and I am excited about this. I am really looking forward to having a little baby to take care of. While waiting for that day to come, my husband told me to look for a school where I could enroll. i also am looking for a school that caters to us, pregnant women. I want to take a course that could help me and teach me with the basics of parenting. |
| This is such a great opportunity that The deVeber Institute can provide for students who want to take a port secondary education. The program has a very good purpose to help the students by providing assistance for education, housing, child care, health care, and the like. In that way, pregnant students gain courage to finish their studies despite of their situation. This is just a matter of looking at the brighter side of life. |
| That is true. Not because that you get pregnant untimely you must forget about your studies. There are still some ways to pursue your dreams. In some country, teenagers who gets pregnant are treated badly. It seems that they had done a very terrible crime and they are deprived from going to school again. Good thing that this kind of program are available for those who still wants to learn. |
| I truly agree with you guys. I am glad about the aim of Deveber Institute for post secondary education and parenting. This opportunity is an open door for pregnant women at an early age to continue schooling despite their condition. In this way, these women will be aware about child care, housing, and health care. All the things they need to learn in building a family. I wish all the best for the success of the institute. |
