Video: Grant June 2010 Presentation Part 2 - Accreditation
| Video: Grant June 2010 Presentation Part 2 ECO Canada's Accreditation Program was developed to serve the needs of more than 400 environmentally related education programs in Canada. The project developed under the guidance of the Canadian University Environmental Science Network (CUESN) and the Canadian College Environmental Network (CCEN) who requested an accreditation program be administered by ECO Canada for their environmental programs. Human Resources Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) funded the creation of this program. Accreditation demonstrates to students, parents, educators and industry that environmental programs have met a national standard. The ECO Canada Accreditation Program is expected to: •Establish a self-sustaining national standardized accreditation system for environmental post-secondary education. •Promote enrolment in accredited environmental programs. •Establish linkages between accredited program graduates and certification for environmental professionals. •Promote national mobility and communication between post-secondary educational institutions.
